How to take off the side plastic emblem

Has anyone taken off their side elblem. ( for ye it would be 4Runner) I am replacing mine. Does it just 'pop off' or is there something i need to know before i break it

It's very hard (if not impossible) to get it off w/o breaking the snaps.
You can get new ones from the dealer or use some other method to re-attach it.

B Pillar (or 4runner emblem)

Push the bottom rear of the panel forward to slide the bottom pin out of the bottom slot. Then push the panel up to release the 4 upper pins from the slots. The edge where the B-pillar meets the roof panel stops the side trim piece from sliding up high enough to clear the pins. Push it up and pull the bottom of the panel away from the body until the clips pop out of the slots. They will probably get busted in the process! But you can get clips.

Cheers mate....especially for the pictures..... Will try it tomorrow. Love your truck...it made me go for the softtop aswell.

Surf89 or GEOFF B-Pillar removal question

Hey guys did you get your B-Pillar trim assemblies off and please explain again how you removed them. I do not quiet grasp the concept of pushing trim assembly forward then up, then down and breaking clips, etc.. I am the original owner of an '87 4Runner and need to get to the inner vent to repair the rotted rubber strips and rework the logo's on the badges while it's off the truck.
