Hula girl Dashboard Mod.

I searched around and couldn't believe that no one has done the mod here before, or at least that I could find.

I bought a hula girl to go on the dash - it came with a peel and stick foam thingy. I am not going to stick that on my dash, plus I know that if I leave her on the dash when I go to the store, someone is going to break the windows out to get it.

so I had a plan.

The Hula Girl

removed the sticky pad

set her up in the Bridgeport with a .750 endmill.

Bought some magnets from Home Depot. These are Neodymium magnets - very strong.

Finished product with one magnet epoxied into the base.

Now the fun part. Remover the console and disassemble the dash to remove the CB radio and head unit.

The pack came with 3 magnets so I left the other two stacked together and used 3M VHB tape. Make sure you orient the magnets or the Hula girl will fly off.

Hard to photograph but stick the magnets to underside of the dash above the stereo. I did cover that with a piece of gorilla tape as a backup to make sure they don't fall.

And done. She sticks on pretty strongly - doesn't slide around at all. Also makes a great note holder.

This is pretty cool and could be used to secure other things to the dash without damaging it.

Awesome, great idea and as mentioned could be use for other applications as well,....but that was a lot of work just to get a pretty girl to shake what Momma gave her in your face!!! :girl:

I have one, but mine's just stuck on with the adhesive that came on it. Still holding strong after 3 years! Only thing is every now and then I have to spray some wd40 up her skirt cause the spring gets squeaky [emoji23]
