Unfortunately a lot of innocent people, including children, get killed that way.
They can't stop the convoy or slow down enough to risk being attacked, so when somebody's kid can't get out of the way fast enough, they get run over.

not trying to start a flame here, but in all honesty, can you not see the problems of a policy like that. I understand safety is a huge concern, but just bumping people out of the way to make room for the americans is not really what i would have had in mind if we were truly liberating rather than occupying.

Imagine if some foreign nation was "liberating" the american people (hypothetical) and some damn tiny tank wouldnt slow down for shit and dented your 4runner, almost ran over your kids while coming home, etc.

I personally would hope that Crozhawk and his rig with his newly mounted 30mm would come to my rescue.

Ok. I say this through gritted teeth. I recognize that in America, we all have our opinions ref the Iraqi war. Hell, I still fight for that right now. As far as the driving policy in Iraq, I myself have driven there and let me tell you. once you've experience seeing an IED up close and personal, You'd drive that way too.

my comment was not a suggestion or solution to the problem, it was simply a comment. Too often we as americans do not look at both sides of a situation.

I am not a commander nor would i want to be. I am however a patriot with very close ties to the military. I am simply stating that occupation fuels insurgent behavior and we have done nothing to change that as large corporations are having a field day reaping in the benefits of the chaos.

You are right about occupation....and War sucks. The only option is to enihilate the enemy. (Ask them...they'll tell you!) Too bad the video didn't show an up amoured Humvee driving across a freshly paved parking lot where ther used to be IED's , etc., in Iraq. That way we could 'occupy' a parking lot and the bad guys would be destroyed. How's that for politically correct foreign policy? :soapbox:
