Husky or Toyota rubber floor mats?

I need to put rubber floor mats in my 4runner. Anyone have an opinion on the fitted Husky mats vs. the Toyota mats? Thanks.

I have to Toyota matts and they fit like a glove. They should since they are OEM. Can't say anything for the Husky...

I looked at the Husky mats, Nifty Xtreme, and some others but likes the looks and fit of the Toyota mats the best. The only bummer is that Toyota does not offer their mats in black, only "oak" (dark taupe) and "charcoal" (dark grey). I thought black would look cool with the black dash and trim in the 4R, but the "oak" actually looks really nice with the taupe interior.

I REALLY like my husky mats. they cup up on the sides and hold, mud and water quite nicely. easy to clean. I take them out and hose them off and set them in the sun. then put 'em back in.

Speaking of which, I should prolly post something in the classifieds, but I have a spare husky liner for the back for someone w/o the rear deck shelf setup. I bought mine off ebay as a set thinking they were the ones that fit my vehicle, only to find out that the back piece I misread and got the wrong one. my mistake...

Do the Husky's have holes for the clips (to keep the mat from moving around) on the driver's side?

no, you take the clips out. (they just snap out w/o breaking)

the bottom of the husky's have lots of spikes that hold the mat in well. I have had absolutely no problems with mine sliding around.

I just went to Wal-mart and bought their set. It was $7 a mat. They might not fit like OEM, but they protect the carpet mats. And for that price, you can't beat it.

I have a friend who did that too. I don't see the logic behind spending $30,000 for a brand new vehicle and then settling for generic accessories that don't fit quite right to save $50.00 or so. LOL!

I had the Nifty Catch-All mats in my last SUV, and they were the best! They were contoured to match the floor exactly and could easily hold a gallon of water without getting the carpet wet.

If they make the same thing for the 4Runner, I'm sure that I'll get a set before winter, because they are great for slush and snow.

I have the Husky xtremes and my driver side mat is the only one that does not have clips, just two holes in the mat. I e-mailed Nifty and they sent me a packet of clips and gaskets that almost worked, but they didn't.

i have the oems and theyre great. the only regret i have is buying them from the stealer. if youre gonna buy a set buy it from one of those online toyota parts store, its cheaper. i also have the husky liner for the trunk. these mats really are a good investment for the truck.

I gave the Nifty Xtreme mats a shot... they looked outstanding in the Performance Products catalogue, so I took a chance and ordered them. They were not soft rubber like regular flat mats, but hard (ridged, but still flexible) formed rubber, about a 1/4" thick and smooth except for a light texture. They're custom-contoured to the shape of the floorboards, shaped like a pan with nice tall sides. Are these what you're talking about? They sure looked great.

Unfortunately, the problem I had with these mats is that the bottom of the "pan" did not touch the floorboard, and since they are pans they would not conform and lat flat. Whenever you stepped on either one of them, the tall sides wanted to bend, or "fold" like a cheap piece of cardboard.

I sure liked the concept... I wish they would have worked out.

I took at look at the Extremes, but I didn't really like them. The regular Catch-Alls were much nicer and fit perfectly, even the bottom. They are not as aggressive as the Extremes, so the lip wasn't quite as high.
