Well, I thought that it was just the lights going out on my HVAC controls, but I changed them with no results. Now I not only don't have any backlights on my speed control, I don't have backlights on my "Auto/AC/UP/Down" control or the ability to select the two lowest settings on the speed control! The Toyo place told my wife that it was the knobs and that he had started seeing a couple that needed replaced. My warranty is up, so they won't pay to get it fixed! I'm calling today to bitch.

If anyone has a parts catalog, could you see what part numbers these knobs are so that I can just replace it myself? I would really appreciate it.

My control lights are out also. How do you change the lights - do you have to remove the dash or do you pop off the knob? Thanks for any info!

Replacing the lights didn't work on mine, I've already tried that. Supposedly you have to change out the whole control knob. I was quoted $50 a pop for just parts, so I told them to forget it. The buttons still work, and I can find them just fine in the dark. One of these days I'll take a look at a junk yard to see if I can find any to fix them. The entire fan speed dial is out, along with half of the temp setting buttons as well. Toyota just told me tough.
