Hyundai still not there yet

Some say Hyundai is catching up to Toyoya when it comes o build quality and reliability. Yeah I thought so too until today when I happened to be at the mall and they had a few Hyundai's on display. I looked at the Genesis to check it out. When I tried to lightly close the doors, the front doors closed with little effort but not the two rear doors. I had to exert a little more force. Right at that time the Hyundai represenative came up to me and said pretty nice eh? I said well not really my 4runner doors close with a light touch but this requires more effort.


They have come along way but not at Toyota standard yet.

To save this thread I figured I would post the picture of dried jerky style bacon I found on a road trip this weekend. It tastes good, just like Bacon but dried. I would def buy again.

Well I'd have to say hyundai sucks at quality. when my friends and I went to MSRH for the first time, the turbo on her genesis wouldn't build boost. It turns out that the actuator for the wastegate went out, it was suck in the open position. When we tried to take the turbo out of it we stripped 3 out of 4 or 5 bolts on the manifold. there was no lubrication or anti seize. nothing. I'm not impressed with there quality at all.

I tried to remove the exhaust manifold on a friend's Hyundai after driving over the Rocky Mountains and the bolts were WAY too hot. Also, when I opened the coolant cap, scalding fluid shot me in the face with much less force than a Toyota.

Hyundais definitely suck.

I once changed the transmission fluid on a friend's hyundai. Fluid had unknown milage on it and came out dark and ugly. Transmission was not shifting properly.

New fluid went in, transmission shifted great again, never heard about more issues from it.

What terrible cars they make.
