I am replacing the leather on my seat bottom...

... I had the seat out and ready to go in my house a while back and stopped because the heating element stumped me. I talked to my upholstery guy here at work and he walked me through it.

Now... My question is how do you get that front plastic trim off of the frame? I got the screw out on the one side (very difficult) and the other side looks impossible. Any pointers?

Are you taking about the front fascia? If you’re stubborn, a small ratchet with a 1/4” socket allows you to put in a screw driver bit to unscrew it at 90 degree offset. If you’re not stubborn and don’t mind a little more work, out the seat back in your car, hook up all the electrical, reconnect the battery, and then slide the seat forward all the way, or whenever you have enough space for your screw driver to fit.

The seat frame should be moved back/ forward to make it easier to get at that screw
