Congrats!! I am using XenonDepot's HIDs and love them.

Was it a lease? $50 less a month on a longer payment plan is not really a score but you do get the new warranty.

My 2016 had the same XenonDepots that you were mentioning. I loved them too. The ones I bought originally are discontinued. They have an upgraded version now and cost more of course. And no, this isnt a lease, its a purchase. What I think is, not many TRD Off Roads were being sold and they are about to introduce the 6 Gens soon so they had to get the 2019's sold and sell off the previous years as certified used, and make a few bucks on them as well.

Did the same thing... traded my '16 for my '19... I was very calculated though. I'd been working the deal for six plus months with my (same) salesman and had about five dealerships within a 500 mile range in a price shootout. Plus, the official Toyota Corporate website had the price on the TRD Pro listed insanely low... turned out to be an error on the Corporate website, but they came extremely close to honoring it...

The '16 was nearly paid off, so it had a ton of equity in it and was still under the original 3x36 factory warranty.

Only paid tax on the difference and got into a '19 Pro... Loving it.

Obviously you can because I did. I didnt even know there was a choice. Interesting info. I hate leather seats so I am glad I was able to get into this 4R with cloth seats.

It's your money, definitely spend it how you want, but the dealer/toyota definitely came out ahead.

I'm sure they came out ahead, but I got a better 4R. My 2016 was a PITA to drive. VERY hard to steer being the first thing that comes to mind and the damn wheel wobble too.

When a vehicle doesn't perform as expected, you find out here's a lot of value in not being pissed off and regretting the purchase every time you drive it. Glad the new 4R is trouble free, now you can finally enjoy it! :cheers:

Same here, I despise leatherette and sunroofs. I would have paid a premium to avoid these things. Fortunately I didn't have to.

It amazes me how often people get rid of good vehicles. I’ve only owned 3 vehicles in my life(i’m 40) and my T4R is the longest I’ve owned(will reach 15 years together in 2020).

You are absolutely right and thank you for the post. When I got in the 2016 it was like, ug! Now its like, This is the way it supposed to be and I cant wait to drive it. I actually had a steering wheel spinning on the wheel in order to turn it with less effort. Or should I say, normal effort like every vehicle I ever drove before. So yes, this was a priceless buy and fun now.

It's just a feature that I have never used in any of the cars I owned that had one. Plus they usually cost more $, and have a tendency to leak if the drains get clogged. Hard pass!

I open my sunroof when I get in the car after it's been sitting out in the sun. That lets most of the hottest air out so the AC doesn't have to work as hard, then I close it. It's the only use I have for a sunroof, but it's far more effective than rolling down the windows.

I roll the windows down, including the rear, and that forces all the stale air out.
