I finally found the DEAL I was looking for! '98 Runner here!

I found my 4x4 Runner! Bought it from the original owner, per carfax. It's a '98 Limited, Auto, Locking Dif, has every option except tow hitch. (which is a good thing, I know it wasn't used for towing at all) The only things not working are the CD Changer (Regular CD and Tape player do work great with the 6 speakers and the antenna does not go down. It's in immaculate condition, interior and paint, with Michelin's that only have 5K on them. They had 100K mile dealer service plan, so everything was done at dealer, including new Tranny fluid. The topper is it only has 135K on it and at 130K it had a $3K rebuilt motor put in! Had something strange go wrong with the motor, so it has a new one! I got it for $6,000! I've already taken it up to the SNOW in Tahoe twice, it's awesome!!

Now I just need to figure out where to get NICE seat covers to protect the leather and also I'd like to find mud flaps that say 4x4 on them, since it doesn't say 4x4 anywhere on it! Anyone know where to look??

Looks like a great find.. Congrats.. I just recently purchased a 1997..my first 4runner and am totally loving it.. I FORMERLY was a Jeep Cherokee guy for many years and they served me well but I'm thinking now that I have owned my last Jeep .

For seat covers I just ordered a set of Wet Okole seat covers about a week ago. They aren't cheap but everyone that buys them seems to be glad they did. They told me 2-3 weeks before I would have them. I will post pics as soon as they are installed..

they are expensive but mine came with a set of seat covers from the dealer. fit like no other.

as far as the mudflaps, they dont make specific 4runner ones that say 4X4, only for the tacoma as far as i know, but you could always have some custom 4x4 decals made, or paint your flaps yourself.

Yes, Wet Okole's do look great and fit perfectly. You really get what you pay for with them. I had a bought a full set about half a year ago and I have no complaints. I had ordered my set from Wet Okole's website directly.

HAHA thats what im talkin about!!!!!!! just bought myself a Vlasic home jersey, and a Heatly black armor, since i have a cheechoo black armor

next up, nabby's Russian jersey, or possibly a thorton or heatly team canada jersey :frisky:

but to stay on topic, i love the look of the wet okole, and always keep in mind you get what you pay for
