I am definitely planning to attend Rock Therapy next year. And moving back west is on my 2 year plan. I am counting down until we can hit a trail again amigo.

Just double checked the swing out and it indeed took a hit at some point. The diagonal upright by the spindle and tire mount are bent. Going to have to get the BFH out and straighten it out.

It would be awesome if we lived closer. I love to bring my daughter wheeling/camping, but not too many kids her age. Hopefully I can make it out east a bit at some point.
Late reply here Rob, but whoa! That thing is seriously bent. Hopefully you can straighten it out, but keep in mind that the metal will have bent in both directions once you straighten it, and will be weakened. That will make it that much easier to bend it again in the future.
I noticed you had an ARB front bumper and switched to an addicted off road plate. I currently have the ARB and am getting so sick of hitting it on everything, especially with that stupid vertical edge along the entire bottom of it. Was this your reason for making the switch? Im curious to hear a comparison of the two bumpers from someone who has owned both.
The clearance was one reason that I made the change. During my last trip to Moab I ran several trails with TBuzz, whose rig is set up very similar to my own, but had an Addicted plate bumper. There were many lines that he was able to get through without contacting his front bumper, while I was scraping and hitting my ARB regularly. I always had the most trouble with the shackle mounts digging into rocks, etc.
The second reason is that I got a screaming deal on it. I won a free Addicted tube bumper during the raffle at the Jamboree last year, and as an option, I could choose a plate bumper at 50% off, so I went that route.
I still like the ARB look, design, and quality. My ARB is still sitting in the garage as I have not been able to bring myself to sell it quite yet.

Our family went to Silverton last summer and absolutely fell in love with it. We rented some Jeeps and did some of the trails. It was the highlight of our entire vacation. Since then I have been building my 4Runner up with the intention of going back to Silverton and Ouray and doing more of the trails you did with your family.

That place gets its hooks in you, for sure. It's kind of like Moab, in that you can do it again and again and it never gets old. Maybe our paths will cross up there someday.
I did Black Bear the next day. Thursday. We ate lunch at Baked in Telluride too. I was there for the Summit.
Nice! I saw your rig parked on the west side of 2nd street between 8th and 9th on Thursday morning. My Wife likes to check out all the houses when we pass through, and we cruised that side of town early Thursday morning on our way to run Engineer. I would have stopped to say hi if we had more time.

Any chance you have any Extra labels you didn't use for the winch switch??
I may have the file with the label image. I created it in MS Excel, and found the little winch symbol online. I printed it with a color printer and laminated it using packing tape, then used 3M double sided tape to secure it to the face of the switch. Pretty easy, really.
