We were in Lake Tahoe for a couple of nights and man o man, all I saw were 3rd and 4th Gen 4runners...and a lot of Landcruisers. Even my wife was like WTF?

It was nice to see that the 4runner lives strong in Tahoe!:cheers:

That's how it is.

You notice cars more when you have it or is into it.

My friend had a 1998 Honda Accord...and I didn't notice Accords until I had my 2001. Same w/ my 4Runner.

Its just a tahoe vehicle. Same goes for Subarus. Tahoe locals are very active and need a car capable of druvung off road and in bad conditions along with being able to pack lots of toys.

I love being in tahoe after a big storm and just charging through the pow before the snowplows get it cleared up.

I definetly notice a specific vehicle more when I own one. I also notice how different regions prefer different vehicles. Around here there are a lot of 4runners. When we go to my wife's home town in ND there are hardly any toyotas. Last time I saw one rav and two tundras. All fords, dodges, and a ton of chevy's.

Yeah, there's a good number of Tahoe folks who drive Toyotas. I would say half of the Toyotas you see in the Tahoe area are 4Runners. And the majority of the vehicles in Tahoe when I'm snowboarding are Subaru's and 4Runners.

To illustrate, the cabin owner that I leased from the past two seasons, she owns a 3rd gen 4R and her BF an old Toyota P/U (pre-Tacoma, probably a '91). The other two folks that were at the lease had Subaru's.
