I just blew Mountain-Dew out of my nose (2020 Ford Bronco)

Those pics still scream concept. Furthermore, doesn't Ford already have the crossover landscape covered with the Exploder, Edge, Flex, Escape, and Ecosport? This is a lineup DYING for a midsize BOF SUV. I think it has potential. Too many guys here jumping to conclusions because they ride the big T hard.

Does this really look any more pathetic than an early 5th Gen SR5?

I think everyone is trying to forget that happened by ordering TE trim, or just ignoring those years altogether if it wasn't a TE.

People probably said the same thing in 1990 with the second gen 4Runner. And it became true in 1993 because of the buyers. Don’t they sell more 4-door wranglers too? Heck, the FJ flopped. A 2-door SUV is risky business these days IMO.

True, but the 4Runner only had one generation (or maybe two since they did make a 2-door 2nd gen). The Bronco has a strong 2-door lineage since its inception. And spread over 5 generations and 30 years.

Definitely see what you're getting at. With that said, the people who can actually remember a true 2-door Bronco fondly are likely not the majority of projected buyers. 1996 was just too long ago for the majority of modern buyers to have memories of. Depending on the price point (35k?), I'd bet they are aiming it at the same crowd as Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and TRD Bro people. In other words, the "Instagram Overlanders". Middle managers at some engineering company that want to "get away from it all" for the weekend by driving on some dirt roads and eating trailmix in a canvas shed placed on the roof of their SUV. The 4-door gives extra space for the Ikea trips too. I think the 2-door Wranglers are mostly reserved for two demographics now: actual wheelers that don't think a locker refers to an alarm system, and sorority girls.

But I'm no marketing analyst. This is just what I notice in my area where we don't really have any trails.
 
For me, i vowed to never buy a 2 door vehicle ever. Back in the hay day when i owned a BMW M3, a group of M3 coupe enthusiasts were driving on the moutain. One M3 lost control and slid off mountain and flip several times and burst into flames. The driver and front passenger got out with minor burns i think. The passenger in the rear died because he/she could not get out due to it being a coupe.

Now that i have a family (3 kids), i will never buy something that does not have a door in the rear. I am planning to buy Expedition or Sequoia...the 3rd row will not be used unless in emergency for reason above.

For sure. I think it would be silly if they didn't have a 4-door version. It just surprises me that they are not (if that's the case) offering a 2-door version of some sorts.
 
I want to buy a car for my sister. We still choose ,and I think about the Honda Amaze . What do you think, as for girl it good car? Are there better options for the same price?

DarkSun, I think, Amaze is a good choise. High-quality car, with a beautiful appearance, for a reasonable price. This model is quite cheap parts, which is also very convenient. You can visit page and see for yourself. This is an additional advantage when buying a car.

I think we are better off diverting our laughter to the new Land Rover Defender.

Take a peek under the skirt. That looks like the same rear control arm setup as the new Discovery. In other words, this will be unibody and IRS. They did a good job at "preserving the brand heritage". It's supposed to be competing with the 4Runner and Wrangler. I have nothing impressive to say about the new Discovery either. It looks nothing like a Discovery, and the reliability from my experience is WORSE than an LR3 I had. The best 4x4xfar was in the dealer for a month because the carpet would get wet during a drizzle. A rusty 3rd gen 4Runner was laughing at it as it refused to start in below freezing temps due to fuel gelling.

The Disco has some of the worst suspension articulation yet. The few "off roading" videos they put out of it has it lifting its tires into the air on the mildest rock climbs.

It really doesn't help that LR has SIX vehicles for sale and I bet you 20 bucks you can't name all of them or tell me what the significant differences between them are.

The Defender was always considered a flagship 4x4 of the brand that went back to their off roading heritage before all that was thrown away. Now it's just another weird looking addition to their product line.

In hindsight, the vehicle that almost drove them out of the US market, the Disco 1, was probably the most reliable one. It occurred to me that at least it was simple enough to fix yourself. I can't stand their full line-up of crossovers that have been maxed out of off-road potential. I actually think the a transfer case with low range is an option on some.
