Unfortunately, the response I recently got from SSO was that they aren't looking at it at this time. :mmph::mmph:

I hate to hear this. When I met Kevin he was really small and loaded down when he introduced his hybrid bumpers. He worked hard to keep up with only a couple guys and himself. He made a set of 1 off sliders for me when I had my 14 4Runner, he was really trying hard to satisfy customers!
[MENTION=594423]CajunMikeR[/MENTION] and I both took our rigs to have [MENTION=110183]SouthernSS[/MENTION] look at the carriers and they seemed very interested.
Now I wish I would have spoken to Kevin when I took it there.
Who knows, maybe the outcome would have been different and there would be carriers for more T4R’s!

We're not currently offering the DIY kits because we honestly just didn't nail it out the park with this venture. We essentially expected the shipping department to become mini fabricators, by identifying and inspecting every little piece that is welded in our bumpers, ALONG with shipping out the other 1000s of products we ship out a month. We do plan on doing this again in the future but not until we're better at this process.

I think this is a good thing for [MENTION=110183]SouthernSS[/MENTION] and for other T4R owners seeking a better solution for a better tire carrier than the other ones out in the market!
[MENTION=602811]ctnewman[/MENTION] (in my opinion) made a better rear tire carrier than the usual suspects.

All I can say on it is this...

I get asked a LOT about it on 4Runner FB groups and in person. I tell them it's 1 of 5 (6 really if you include Christian's) but that SSO seems interested and may bring it to market, but I don't know when. I also refuse to discuss potential price points that were mentioned when I stopped by the shop, because I consider that privileged info and it's not my place to put that out there... but I do tell people that it will potentially be cheaper than the current alternatives.

The market is out there, y'all just need to strike a deal and start making them.

I’m just coming across this for the first time. What a great idea. I have another suggestions. How about making one with two swing arms and have two modular panels where you can carry a spare tire or jerry cans. Something similar to what Victory has for their bumpers.

I would prefer to racks to carry two jerry cans racks to carry water and extra camping gear.

Sorry I've been MIA and haven't responded to a lot of the PMs and emails asking if I am going to make more of these. I've been keeping myself very busy making motorcycles and motorcycle parts.

I did speak to Lee on the phone yesterday and he expressed interest and I sent him the design files. Nothing is finalized, but I think it's likely that something happens. Maybe shoot them a message to let them know you're interested?
