I made my own hitch mount spare tire carrier.

Finally found the time to install my [MENTION=602811]ctnewman[/MENTION] rear tire carrier!
It is everything ctnewman, stated it would be and then some. The install went without a hitch, well except the I have a camera continuity issue I need to nail down…
Edit: It wasn’t any connector or connections I made , but the OEM connector that the camera harness connects to.
Working at this point.

It’s okay man. I did call twice.
They told me it hasn’t been unload yet.
Online it says it’s on trailer. I’m hoping early next week. Or I’ll go unload that damn trailer myself [emoji1787]

I'd just call them to find out what their hours are for pickup.

When I ordered my sliders, they were in the nearest larger city 3 days before they were scheduled to be delivered. I came in from offshore 2 days before delivery, called them on the drive home, and picked them up as I passed through.

Having learned my lesson, I asked that the carrier be held for pickup. They had some odd pickup hours, but again I picked it up on my first day home from work.

Finally got the call and picked it up today.
Now I’m starting a stretch of 5 night at work so it won’t get installed until late next week [emoji31][emoji31]
It least it’s home and I get to stare and drool at the beautiful welds as I walk in the door. [emoji23]

I nailed down the continuity issue. It wasn’t a connection or connector I made, but seems to be an OEM connector that the camera harness plugs into.
Appears to be fixed for now.
I used Cat5E for my wiring and made up the connectors so I ended up with a minimum of splices.

So I took a drive over to Southern Style Offroad today. Met Matt [MENTION=110183]SouthernSS[/MENTION] & a couple other guys that work for Kevin. They looked over the carrier and design. So now the ball is in their court to make some kind of decision and contact [MENTION=602811]ctnewman[/MENTION] to possibly work out any details if they choose.
I hope they see there is a desire for a really good carrier that many hasn’t had the opportunity to purchase and pick its design up.

I'm already on 33s, will probably be on 34s next year after a regear and front locker are installed. [emoji6]

Finally got around to installing it.
Just want to say the quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail is out of this world.
I have never had a hitch mount accessory be so sturdy like this without the addition of locks and god knows what. This this is part of the truck!!!
I went with the Aiden James camera relocation kit, so far I like it. But I’m the end I’ll probably do what @%1; did as I’d like to see past the tire.
Now I can finally get my high tuck exhaust since the spare is out of the way!
