I need a high quality oil...

I use their top if the line synthetic with Napa/wix filters on my LX470 with an OCI of about 15k, with Blackstone reports suggesting I take it to 20k. (Don’t worry, I’m not pushing 15)

Why not try the longer interval? I have found Blackstone to be very pragmatic in this respect. As a point of comparison, I also use Mobil1 in my BMWs (Porsche A40 or BMW LL-01 certs). My 2006 330i has a condition-based service interval which generally instructs on a change between 15-20k miles (averaging ~19k). I have followed this with OEM filters and the tests from Blackstone always come back well, but without recommending to go too far past the interval. I did the pan and valve cover gaskets ~113k and the motor was spotless inside.

I've used Mobil 1 or Pennzoil Platinum on our 4 Runner with 10-12k intervals and could easily go farther, but I'm concerned about kick-back if I go to sell due to the short factory interval.

Finally, keep in mind that a little consumption can be helpful as you're essentially topping up the additives in the oil as they deplete.

In all fairness, I must also admit that I change the oil in my M3 track rat more frequently: Approx every 10 track days. If it doesn't see any track use, or only a couple of days in a year (which never happens), then I change at 2-year intervals (or would use the factory-spec'ed 7500mi).

On high revving vehicles like my motorcycle and Corvette I strictly use Royal Purple.

On my Mercedes and BMW diesels I use Fuchs.

On the rig, it barely ever sees revs over 3K.. I use cheap Advance Auto brand Synthetic oil with OEM Toyota oil filters.
