Tire choice is a myriad of options-I would first decide if you want to stick with the stock size-I presume yours is the 265/70/16
and if not that size- then the 265/75/16 do work but I and a few others experience a small amount of front rubbing.

yes i was wanting to upgrade to a 16x8 rim with that tire size, or maybe keep my factory sport rims.

for most on road use they shouldn't really have to much of a rubbing problem should they? also wouldn't they fill out my fenders better since they are a little bigger. i feel right now that my tires are way to skinny .

I do believe a 16 x 8 wheel will work fine with the 265/70/16 tire size.

Make sure you verify the backspacing of the wheel. I believe the correct figure is 4.5" but verify please. Tire Rack or Discount Tire are helpful sources of information.

Yes a 265/75/16 will fill up the wheel well better-mine rubs at the factory mud flaps (front wheelwells only) for example when climbing a curb, or a sharp turn with some shock compression.

Just over a hundred miles with my Revo's and I am amazed at them. They bite hard on road and have good traction off road. I take corners in teh wet quicker than I took them in the dry with my old Cross Terrains, which were very good tires- but were replaced with about 60k on them and very little tread left. Either are a safe bet for extremely good wet/dry traction and some minor offroading.

First of all, Dunlop's generally suck. You will notice a plushier ride comparing K/0's with all-seasons. There is no way around that--it is a fact. All seasons have a better water channel than K/O's. All seasons will be quieter on the road.

Once again, THIS GUY IS NOT GOING TO GO OFF-ROAD. He doesn't need an A/T tire. Why do you keep bringing up the point of this being your best "all around tire" when it's not this guy's best choice for his "all around tire"? Please base your answers on the specific question being asked.

Nittos are great but not for a truck that will never see much beyond a rough road since their treadlife won't be the greatest and their ride is a bit stiff with the D load rating.

Nittos are great for a DD that does see actual off road use more than a few times a year.

I am not a bit offended, but rather awe-struck at your generalized reply. He didn't just ask about tires, but tires that will only see asphalt. If your experiences involves off-road, it doesn't apply here. Once again, read the WHOLE question, and give a helpful response--don't confuse the guy. :rant:

I just put good year wrangler silent armour on mine. I am happy with them so far, they are quiet, agressive looking and they are highly rated on the tire websites. They also have the severe winter rating which is good as I am up to my nuts in snow here right now. Check them out I am impressed with them.

I completely agree. It's amazing how many people hear that the BFG A/T is the best tire in the whole wide world, so they run out and buy it and then say its the best tire they have ever had and half the time don't have another good tire to compare it to.

Michelin makes a couple of really nice tires that last up to 80,000 miles on street driving. They are pretty hard compound and may not be as cushy as some, but they have excellent traction and wear.
