Back story: alternator went out, no biggie.
Pulled battery to charge it, it charged and I went to put it back in.
Here where I messed up.
I have the big 3 upgrade and two silver wires. One is the power to the starter, the other is the ground for the battery to ground to the frame.
I accidentally Switched the two (without knowing it) and connected everything to the battery (the ground to the positive terminal and the starter to the negative terminal). I was about to shut the hood, when I noticed smoke coming form the battery area. Immediately I cleared the terminals of wires and realized my mistake. I then placed the mixed up ground and starter wire on their correct posts and nothing happened when I tried to start the car. None of my dash lights came on.
How do I check the larger fuses under the hood?
(How do I pull the "starter" fuse. its one of the big ones)
What fuses do you suggest I look at?
Any suggestions would be awesome as what to look at or do next. Thanks. :help:
