I traded up for the younger one

I sold my daily driver SC400 and got a RC350.
Oh yes.. I still have the 4runner (original owner since 2006). My youngest son is driving it. I will get the 4runner back as my weekend warrior vehicle (again) when he goes to college. The 4runner has been handed down to my oldest son and now to the younger son.

Nice upgrade! I love the looks of those 350's. How does it drive? Also love the SC400. Was one of my favorite looking cars when I was growing up.

Tangent, but how do you like your garage flooring? I've been thinking of doing that to mine.

The RC drives great. I really like the RC-F but for daily driving and cost. The F-Sport fits my need perfectly. I wanted to keep the SC but it will need timing belt (160K miles - replaced at 99K), tires, shocks, registration, smog check, oil change (minor), transmission "tuneup" and insurance too. I don't know why I pay less insurance for the RC than the SC. No idea. I didn't want to question my insurance company.

For the garage floor, I love it. I had it professionally done. I spent most of my time in the garage so I wanted it done right. I did it myself couple times and it didn't last long (that's what she said :bash. I recommended to have it professionally done.

For sure. I'd never do it myself. It would end up all f'd up. My biggest hesitation is emptying out the entire garage for it to be done. That and I think I'd end up wanting to do some built in cabinets and not sure I want to have that cost right now.

I got high blue book value for the car due to its excellent condition. I can get more to sell it privately but I didn't have the time. In addition, I need to have it smog check and pay the registration within a week or so.

Sweet, nice looking ride! We have an IS 350F in white with black interior, love that thing. We got awd because of the snow in Kansas... rwd would have been fun. Do your cooled seats do much? Ours doesn't really make much noticeable difference... just more noise. That's my only complaint... that and you have to buy a special "wrench" for the oil filter if you do your own maintenance.

The cooled seats worked great. I already looked at the special "wrench" for the oil filter change. Thank you. The only "complaint" I have is that it is "harder" for me to get in and out of the RC350 than the SC400. I love the Sport+ mode. I thought it was a gimmick but it actually worked great.

My daily is a Cadillac XTS AWD. Great smooth car, however my kids tend to get ill in the back seat. They always ask to ride in mom's 4Runner.
