I wonder (RCI vs Gibson)

So I installed my third RCI plate (t-case) and I have a deep pitched rattle with the exhaust. I did wrap it with some exhaust wrap. I wonder if it will be better when I get my SS Gibson exhaust installed, will it get better, be the same or worse?

Thoughts?

Is no one running a Gibson exhaust with RCI transfer case plates?

Is the rattle coming from the exhaust hitting the skidplate? If so, I'm guessing both brands will route similarly and you'll find the same issue.

Check to see if the cross member is hitting the transfer case. I had to grind the notch on my RCI skid so there was space between the cross member and the transfer case.

I wrapped fiberglass heat tape, trying not to have it thick, but still protecting the case plate (aluminum) from the heat of the exhaust. It's possible that the two would not contact if. It for the heat wrap. But that's how close it is. The thickness of the heat wrap. Am I worrying about this without cause? Should I skip the heat tape?

Right now it's the aluminum tease skid vs the stock exhaust. I have the Gibson ready to install this year along with Thorley headers. I'm wondering if the Gibson will be less of an issue.

I have the RCI skids and had the stock exhaust without any rattling. When I put the SS Gibson exhaust on, I had a bunch of rattles. Two exhaust shops later with some cutting and welding on the Gibson, and no more rattles.

Running RCI skids with the Gibson Cat back and no issues here.

I have this rattle too...what I did was threw 2 washers in between the skid plate to create additional space and it has stopped. Now whenever I go to a shop to have work done, they take it off and don't put em back in.
