My name is Glen and I am from Lafayette, LA. This past week I once again became part of the T4R family. In high school I drove a 1990 4Runner with 7" of lift with 35" Boggers. Once I sold it I thought I would go with a car and save on the gas. I was miserable for 3 and a half years. My car was vandalized enough to total it out and I had some extra money, so I went ahead and bought a 2004 Sport Edition and couldn't be happier. I got it as a demo with 5000 miles for 25000 and all the new car incentives were attached (2000 cash back). I think I made out like a champ. As soon as I get some pics I will post them, I really like my interior, it has the blackwood on the dash. Anyway I just wanted to introduce myself and I look forward to chatting on this wonderful board.

Damn man, I'm born and raised from La, I lived in Youngsville for about a year too just before I joined the military. I've been gone since 97 though, Is the Keg still there? How about Mako's, I used to party all night there until it closed at 0630 and head to work at Fleming in Brousard at 0700. Its was the Heat back then, are they still around?
BTW, if your from there I will be expecting to see some major stereo upgrades in order to truly represent

My parents live in Cajun Estates and I grew up there. My 1990 4Runner was Maroon, I don't know if you ever saw it around. I had 3 JL W6 12s with the Alpine V12 amp in it. I just got my new Runner about a week ago. I have already ordered the homelink add on and also the Toyota All Weather mats. Hope to hear back from you soon, shows you how small the world actually is.

It really is a small world, I was in the little trailer park right behind the "PGA" golf course and we would go through this little hole they had in the fence and play the back two holes for free all the time. I was staying with my Older sister at the time and my Brother-n-law was working for ?Schlumberjey? an oil company and making big bucks. I drove a little Maroon Ford Ranger that was slammed on Airbags with chrome everywhere and changed my speakers in that thing more than I changed my underwear, I think the best setup I had was pheniox gold amps with a blowout to the bed of the truck with 4 JL 10's with the neons inside the blowout and the mirrors that made it look like I had about 15 speakers. I installed for a long time before I moved to Youngsville, thats also where I got my first ticket, some big fat black guy eating a bucket of chicken with his shoes untied, it was a sad sight, pulled me over for 55 in a 45, it was bs as I could see the 55 sign which made it legal to do 55, ie La laws, but I couldn't fight it because i had to take care of it before I left for Basic. Oh well, man thats crazy you grew up right there, I'm always telling people that I used to see ALI Landry in the Keg and they always call me a lier, I just tell them that the women to men ratio in Lafayette was crazy and she didn't stick out, you know. I miss that place sometimes, its crazy partying.
