Icon lift kit or ToyTec lift kit?

what do you recommend i do a lot of both, off road all types and a lot of on road driving

you can't go wrong with either one. Icon's use their own shocks and Toytec uses Billy's, something to consider.

I've been in contact with Andries at OverlandWarehouse.com and they are in the process of creating a setup specifically for the 5th Gen 4Runner. He is hoping they will have it done within the next couple months. I was going to go with Icon, just like I did on my Tacoma but decided to wait it out for Overland to get done with their kit.

Just installed stage 4 Icon yesterday and aligned it today...AWESOME!!!!

My vote is Icon, but then again I haven't tried the Toytec. I wouldn't want to take anything away from their product by commenting on it.

thanks and yes i was planing to go with icon stage 4 or 5, my only concern are the shocks and life of them, do you have to send them in to be rebuild etc, thanks again

Yes for the Icon front, back would need stiffer springs.

Whats the price difference between Icons and Toytec Ultimate lift kit?

Whats your recommendation if I were to be towing a small trailer around. I pull my bike trailer when I go riding, I know I need to get a better suspension than stock.

I would like a lift that handles well on the road...

Yes, you can adjust both our coilover's or Icon's coil overs with spanner wrenches. The toytec coil overs come with spanner wrenches for adjustment. The spanner wrenches for the Icon's are sold seperatly.

The only thing that is holding me back from purchasing the ultimate lift kit is that I don't know if the tail end is going to sag when pulling a trailer.

Toytec has "super flex" coils for the back, how do they compare to the stock when it comes to towing and sagging.

i am curious how much better is the ICON stage 4 or 5 on the road compared to the XREAS system. Does it hug the road better?????????

Icon all the way. I drive 90% on road. Runs great. Off road is smooth and stable. Awesome.

$2,062 for both front and rear shocks springs and total chaos front arms.

Oh, and rip out the entire xreas. It leaks on the driveway if not. Sooooo much better than xreas. Smooth, stable and no swaying.

Icon's are rebuild-able, and service-able, meaning you will have to do 'keep up' on them to keep them running nice. Where as ours, never need servicing or rebuilding.

Would somebody please be so kind as to expand on this in more detail?

If I were to go with Icon what exactly does "keep up" mean?
