Besides what everyone else has stated - it not that hard - why don't you buy a new set then you'll have spares next time. As others have stated the cost foe someone else to do it a couple times = a new set. For example - I now have a complete extra set of fully rebuilt Radflo 2.5's - so when I have to rebuild my Icon's I just swap it out.

It sounds like you bought the 4Runner with the lift already installed and you didn't get the original components, correct? [MENTION=51030]joneseyyy[/MENTION]'s suggestion on the 1st page is good to just put back the OE components with a cheap spacer lift so you don't have to worry about tires rubbing. I chose to keep the OE stuff in the basement in case I ever need the coilovers rebuilt or if I decide to sell the 4Runner so I can put it back to stock (you never get any value back on aftermarket parts on trades).

Anyway, if you don't have the original parts and you anticipate having to do a rebuild, you can pick up some take off parts in the classifieds section or consider keeping the 4Runner on jackstands for the couple of weeks to get them rebuilt.

Down south turned my king coilovers around and had them shipped back in a day. If you can afford the shipping it'd only be down three days. If not it's still only a week.

If you cover shipping and don't f me and not return them I can loan you my stock front struts/spring assemblies. That would be zero downtime.

So you guys who do it yourself, do you just keep the truck on blocks at your house until the parts come back?

I think you might be able to remove your rear shocks while the vehicle is still on the ground, so perhaps all you need to do is keep the front end on jack stands for a few days?

Personally, if I was going to have the front up on stands for several days, I would loosen up the UCA and LCA bolts to relieve the preload on the rubber bushings (unless of course you have poly bushings in those spots). The reason is because the bushings are torqued while the truck is on the ground and if you have it jacked up it's actually stretching the bushing constantly until you put it back down on the ground. Probably not the greatest thing to be doing to the bushing for days on end...

Op, I see you are located in Puget Sound... If you really want to pay to have it done I'd check with Northridge 4x4 in Silverdale and skip the dealership. Northridge can likey rebuild them for you and save you on shipping to Icon. Just a thought.

sroodtuo, thanks for the tip, it lead me to a shop called "Those Guys Rod & Custom" in Silverdale. They do complete Icon rebuilds. With appointment they can get you in and out in about 4-6 hours. Thanks to everyone else as well.
