Icon tubular with DJ question

Working on swapping out my TC for icon tubular UCA’s with the delta joint. In my opinion it seems as though the DJ should have some type of sleeve or washer to create a flush mounting point to the spindle to distribute weight properly. Hopefully I’m missing something, or maybe I am installing them correctly. I am having a hard time finding a good diagram or picture online

That is the correct way to install them. Sorry to tell you this but I would have kept those Total Chaos UCAs they are much better. Icon Delta Joints are garbage and dont last any longer than standard uniballs even when greased properly. Im on my 3rd warrantied set.
