Idle goes up and down while stopped

Im really hoping to get a little input here before dropping some serious coinage to take my 4Runner to the dealership.

I have a 2006 V8 4x4 Runner and while out driving when I come to a stop the idle jumps up and down. Its to the point where if I didnt have my foot on the brake the car would almost lunge through a red light or stop.

I think I just need to have them adjust the idle off the dealership computer but wanted to see if anyone else ever had this problem or had heard of it.

Thanks

Have you done anything to it recently? Battery disconnected? Try cleaning the throttle body and maf first.

I actually replaced the battery about a month ago. Shouldn't the computer have reset it by now?? It runs fine, just the problem when stopped.

What do you recommend I clean it with?? I'm gonna have to do a search for this...

Also you can Google search resetting ECU/Transmission by pulling the fuses for a few minutes

Too high an idle speed will cause what's referred to as 'brake surge', Search and you'll find more info.
