I'm getting close to paying off my 2014 and have said up to now I would not put other money into it until I have the title in hand.
I'd like to hear how those of you who have done all the usual mods and actually off road your 4Runner would do it if you were starting again from scratch.
My desire is a no-nonsense, extremely reliable, set-it-and-forget-it, comfortable daily driver, family wagon, weekend warrior. I want to keep this truck and let my son drive it in 15 years. I have no desire to fool with rebuilding shocks and things like that. I don't want it to be uncomfortable on the street at it's truly 98%+ asphalt use versus dirt from a mileage perspective.
How necessary are the lifts, bumpers, sliders, winches, etc? How much of all that is worth the hard earned dollars, other than looking awesome in the garage?
Thanks in advance guys.
