GX460 or GX470...mainly for the V8 that Toyota took out after the 4th gen 4Runner. My sister had a GX470 and I had a chance to drive it a little bit then fell in love with it.
Land Cruiser or a Mercedes G Wagen.
Perhaps a Grand Cherokee. The only way I would have one is on a lease. I would never try to keep one for 10-15 years like a Toyota.
Oh, I don't know. 22 years old with 192,000 trouble-free miles and still going strong. Bought it new, and couldn't part with it for the pittance the dealer offered when we bought the 4Runner in 2016. Still use it regularly. The new GC's are a totally different design, so probably not comparable. But, I remember hearing the same stuff about Jeeps when we bought it back then.I doubt it it would last 15 years !
Not a Jeep fan necessarily, but I have to say there still are lots of this gen of Cherokee on the roads here in central Ohio. Maybe they got something right back then...?Oh, I don't know. 22 years old with 192,000 trouble-free miles and still going strong. Picture from 9/24/19. Still sporting its original paint.

Your jeep is a rare breed now - I think xj till 01 and yj? Till 03 where the reliable years. The newer stuff is a different layout all around. The xj design was basically unchanged for a few decades
Sold a 2018 Yukon Denali to buy a 2020 TRD PRO. What a huge mistake that was.
I know i'll probably get roasted for the comment since i'm on a 4runner forum, but its just an opinion. This is my 3rd 4Runner (2001,2008,2020) and while I love the look of it, I absolutely hate driving it. Its not terrible in town, but I mostly drive interstate, and if there's even the slightest incline its constantly switching gears up and down. It continues to do this until I either floor it, or the road flattens out.
I just ordered a Sprint Booster and hopefully that helps to improve the throttle response and drivability. If not, i'll have a Army Green 2020 TRD Pro for sale for anyone looking :behindsofa:
Grand Cherokee. Nice on road comfort. Capable off road. Nice style. Bad maintenance reviews.
Posty Mcposterson
I would go back to a 96 Bronco with a 351 and you guys complain about gas mileage. Lol.
No more new. Build not buy!
