Please note, my statement was a question to you, not telling you what you were thinking as your statement seems to be doing to me.
My point, was that tax rates are historically low and there is no evidence that higher taxes stifle economic growth. In fact, if you look at the chart I posted it would seem that the last great recession occured at around the same time as a huge tax decrease (1930's), then what is often considered America's 'golden era' during the 50's-60's had very high tax rates. The rates began to drop again around the late 70's - early 80's when a lot of ppl feel things started going downhill in America.
As to why its relevant, my question stands, what's your point? Are you trying to advocate for a particular economic policy, or just trying to further drive a wedge between our two countries and this forums members?
