Illuminated ignition ring bulb

I replaced this bulb today with a regular replacement bulb from advanced auto and it still won’t light. Old bulb was obviously burnt. Could it be the socket? The harness and socket look fine. Not sure why it wouldn’t work.

Get a volt meter and check if you have power to it

That’s a great idea since i just bought a meter yesterday. Wish i read this before i bought another harness and ring on eBay. I’ll check to see if it’s getting power tomorrow.

I don't know if you know this but it only lights up for a few seconds upon entering the vehicle. Worth checking

I didn’t know that. Either way it doesn’t light up.

Mine acts up. Works when it wants to work!

You know i never realized it even lit up until i was reading up on here about LED bulbs. Now I’m determined to fix it .

Mine only lights up when the driver's side door is opened. Once the door closes and engine starts it turns off.

Mine glows blue though
