Finally have another 4Runner in the family. This is my (our) 5th 4Runner.
Pic was taken on the night of delivery. 2016 Silver trail premium. Dealer gave it to me at straight invoice, and since I know the finance guy, I also got the 10 year extended warranty at their cost. :) Good deal. I can finally start posting here again! This is to be the wife's car for now. It will eventually be a hand me down to me when the FJ gets old. Traded a Subaru Outback limited 3.6R in. Beautiful car in every way, but Momma wanted a taller truck to drive our daughter around in, so I'm back to my beloved 4Runner.

Plans are to somehow sneak in a very mild lift and immediately replace the tires. (for sale BTW) Since Mrs. Donovan is driving it, I can't go nuts just yet. She hates the below FJ already...

My current FJ:

The cargo. :)

Congrats!!! looks great...seems will be more fun than that ugly FJ

Congrats!

Your cargo is super cute! I have a little girl, she looks about the same age as yours (16 months) they are delicious little creatures.

This was the unfortunate fate of my previous 4Runner. :( Rolled it in the snow. Drove it home 60 miles after the crash. :) LOVED this truck. Still sad to see it like this. My FJ brand new in the pics too.

No. My wife wasn't even in the truck. My girlfriend was.....

This was 6 years ago, and I was dating somebody else at the time. Bought the FJ after the crash as it was about 5K cheaper than a 4Runner. Nobody was hurt. Didn't even break any glass. The 3rd gen T4R is one of the best vehicles ever to roll on an American highway. It sat on my driveway like that for over a year. The day I finally sold it, I just jumped it and it started and ran like it was brand new.

Congrats on the new TEP! That was the exact truck I was looking for about a month ago, but I was impatient and opt'd for the MGM! Looks good! And that FJ isn't too shabby either :heh:

Thanks. I went to school with the general manager of Modesto Toyota so he was looking out for me. I guess these are a little difficult to locate?? I really didn't want silver though. REALLY wanted white, but the wife said no white.... The dark grey like yous was #2 and the red is out of production.
I guess I'll learn to like it...

That silver will look great with some black accessories (rack, bumpers, sliders, fender flares, etc.) Plus it will stay cleaner longer!

Congrats on knowing someone, because finding what I wanted was a PITA dealing with 5+ dealerships and whatnot. Good for you on that one! haha

Yeah man. The price was right on too. I walked in and the sales manager said "We're doing this at straight invoice", and they did. $39,322.27, plus CA tax etc put it back up over $42K :spider: It had an MSRP of 42K already thoug so I saved some.

My old 3rd gen was silver too and I never warmed up to it. Just no a bold color like red nor does it contrast like white. However as you state, it hides dirt and dings pretty well. The Outback was silver too and the wife shitted it up pretty quick...... I'll be adding slight modifications as I can in black. :)

No rear slider. Hate that thing anyway. Running boards per wife's demand. Has KDSS, and the Etune thing Toyota is putting on everything.

Funny I hate that slider also , I ordered mine without it this time . Your right they mostly have fully loaded on the lot that's why I ordered.

Ha. We looked at one of these a few years ago that had the slider in the back but no running boards. Wife said no way when she saw it was sans her step. We saw the tray in the back and she said, "What the hell am I supposed to do with this thing in the way?!" lol. It's pointless unless you are constantly hauling some kind of load you need access to I guess.
