I'm new, sorta

Howdy. I've been reading this forum for awhile, and it's great. Thanks to all!

I just traded my '04 LE for a new '11 TE with KDSS, Nav & JBL (I think it was the last '11 on the lot, so I got it for "invoice" and a good trade-in value without too much hassle). Tough decision, because I really liked the '04. What a great truck!
A few observations:
-'04 design and build quality was amazingly good, but it did have its issues, mostly with brake rotors that always seemed to be warped, even though I tried all the burn-in routines, etc.
-Great having the updated electronics in the '11, and JBL nailed it on this truck. I had JBL in the '04 and, even with center speaker disconnected (thanks T4R.org!), I was never really happy with the base or treble response.
-I've read lots of comments about the hard plastics in the 5th gen, etc. In all honesty, the '04 had plenty of hard plastics that seemed to get scratched a lot. In my search, I drove a $54K Tahoe with a lot more rough plastic and no nav (who pays all that money for those things?).
-The thing I really like about the T4R's is that I don't have to worry about 'em. They always seem to run, and run well wherever I point 'em.
-Anyhow, Toyota quality is very apparent in all the T4R's, new and old. Every car and truck is a grand compromise, IMHO, and the T4R's seem to make the best compromises for me.
