As I'm in the market for exactly what you've described and have been looking for months, I shall firstly say, "Thank you." Additionally, I can provide feedback on the first listing as I recently contacted the owner.

The Bad:
  • Timing belt/water pump is original.
  • Wood trim on the interior.
  • Wheels are not original nor are they very attractive.
  • No sunroof.
  • No rear locking differential.
  • No service history.

The Good:
  • I believe it has lived a "Southern" life; Georgia then Nevada.
  • Owner seems like a nice enough guy.
  • Two owner vehicle (I think).
  • No history of off-road use.

As for the second, it IS nice looking truck, but WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much for year/mileage.

Third one looks pretty nice too, but again, IMHO the price is inflated.

Of course. I'm probably going to be in the market soon too, so I've been looking at prices myself. Good luck on your search and I'll try to keep an eye out still.

There is a small possibility that I found a truck, but presently in the "wait-n-see" phase. The owner wants above market value AND it still needs a minimum of $1,400 put into it ASAP to make it roadworthy. I've got my fingers crossed that he will accept a fair offer, but not feeling great about it at the moment.

The '96 is a bit high in miles but the condition shows it was cared for and an offer of $6500 would be fair.

I paid that for my 97 four years ago, with one owner and the same miles. Its basically the same truck as mine was stock, but a year older. I think 5500 would be a fair price. you have to remember that the 96 is 14 years old.
 
Ok well here is two more. It has more miles than you want, but its really cheap and that leaves more money for mods. It also has a sunroof!
