In channel vent visors vs stick on pics please

I do not have any visors as of yet, but I am in the market for some. My only concern is my window tint. Do the in-channel visors come in contact with window tint on the inside of the window when rolled all the way up?

+1 for the stick on, like said before they just function better, it rains a ton here and i smoke so i drive with my window cracked like 90% of the time, the wider side to the stick on ones lets you get your window down a bit further before it creeps in and doesn't pour into the truck if your driving down hill after a night of rain.....

Yes, but they don't affect the tint. Mine have been in for a year and nothing has happened to the tint.

+1 for the stick on's. I've had mine on for a number of years and no issues whatsoever. I don't realize the aerodynamic or lack there of of them since I am driving a 4Runner. Hasn't failed me yet with the rain, or venting the windows when fogging up.

I have the weathertech in-channel also, I really like them, nice clean look. Before my 4Runner, I had the AVS stick on type, on my Frontier, they lasted me 400,000 miles before the tape finally lost it's grip. When I went to peel it off, to replace the tape, the plastic had become pretty brittle and it cracked. But 7 years and 400,000 miles, I can't complain, they served me very well.

Here's my truck back home with the JDM visors. They come with clips also. If interested I have a second set for sale which are used. These are made specific for the 3rd gen and have Toyota markings on the fronts. They're larger than many of the aftermarket brands I've seen. Cheers and good luck!

Any recommendations about buying a used pair? What is the best way for me to stick em on my rig? Found someone selling the Weathertech tinted in-channel vent visors that he already had installed.

Missing the drivers window stick on. Can’t find a brand name anywhere. Probably gonna replace all with in channel. Did anyone else have issues getting off the old double sided tape? Earlier in this thread someone mentioned nail polish remover. Kinda scared to use that on the paint. Any other ideas?

If they are not cracked and the price is right go for it. My AVS IN Channel had 2 way tape on them, I assume the weather tech do also. If the tape is buggered you can just new tape.

Yeah, that's acetone. That will harm the paint. There are several great ways to remove adhesive. A heat gun/hair dryer can work. Isopropyl alcohol, naptha (zippo lighter fluid) and WD-40 all come to mind. You may want to test in a hidden location such as a door jamb or under the hood first.

Shipping would be cost prohibitive since they sell for $50 new. So I would recommend local pickup.

"Stick on" has clamps too. I've had no issues. Temperatures up to 120° and down in the 20°'s. Drive thru car wash brushes have removed the roof rack end caps but the ventshades were unaffected.

Weather Tech In Channel vent visors

+1 on the Weather Tech in channel vent visors. I have had them on "Roscoe" for 2 years now. I like them very much. Had to be careful putting them in the channels. They were easy to install. My windows roll up fine with no dragging. They do what they are supposed to very well.

I actually prefer the looks of the stick on , esp on the back window. I had AVS and they did fine even in cold weather (-40)
my new rig will get them as well as a hood protector.

However, my 98 dodge truck, with stick ons. the tape did not hold on one when it got to -20 a few weeks ago. could have been my install.
