In garage now and need help removing front shock absorber

Forgot to take the shop mechanic the Bilstein perches/caps/whatevers, so he used the stock ones. Got it all back together and drove the truck tonight.

Not sure if it's much different than the 150K stock springs. Whatever. It's done.

So I guess since you didn't bring the perches with you that you used the old one and are at stock ride height?

No. The stock perches work with the 5100s. I have it at maximum height and have driven 400 miles since the install. It's a 2.375 inch increase.

Is there any danger in using the stock perches with the 5100 shocks?
