In search of the rust free 2nd Gen 4Runner

Hey guys my 3rd TDI swap is now planned.
I need your help.
I have a 1984 frame that is solid and will be fully restored.

What I don't have is a clean rust free body.

What I need from you guys is leads.

It doesn't have to run but that would help transport.

A clean interior would help.

Basically I need to lift the body off the independent suspension frame and mate it to my 84 frame.

So if you guys know if any good donors that are rust free please let me know!!!!

There are lots in the SoCal area, Craigslist Inland empire. As of this morning there are at least 10 less than $1K one for $350. With good bodies and good interior ~ $1500. Is this in your price range and how far away from home are you willing to go?
My last buy was $800, 92 rust free, basically dent free, 4x4.

here's how I found my rust free truck:

All of Craigslist

type in what you're looking for then go from there.

obviously you'll have to do the work weeding out the good from the bad, etc.

you could probably find what something for less than $1500.

who knows - maybe you could get a one way ticket out there and drive it back. otherwise cross continental shipping is usually 500-1000, depending on proximity to hubs, etc.

anyway, I speak from experience. I can fill you in on details if you want.

Never cared for that site it shows lots of deleted posts.

I don't have a problem shipping one but would love to be able to drive one home for sure but if it runs and drives well it won't be as cheap as I would like lol

The less I spend the better but I. willing to spend good money for the right truck.

Give me an idea on how much you want to pay and I'll send you a few options from the SoCal area. I've looked at several and have yet to see rust. Solid frame and suspension is the norm out here.

I have a Gold rust free runner that you could have for pretty cheap. The only bad thing is that I live in NM...and it doesn't run.
