[MENTION=12141]justin[/MENTION]: How come you haven't updated your website with "all" of your new offerings. I heard you have more than just the new f(x) pro wheels. In one of the online magazines it mentioned you have 17x8.5" 5stars!

We're definitely working on adding the new wheels to our website. Frankly we've been selling out of the new wheels so quickly that we often sell out before we can update the site, so we've held off on updating the site for now. We do have a 17x8.5" Five Star available now that we developed at the request of 5th Gen 4Runner owners, since our 16" Five Star was so popular for the 3rd Gen 4Runner, but 16" wheels don't clear 5th Gen brakes. Please keep an eye on our site, and we'll have it updated soon.

Stumbled across this thread and the FN wheels a few weeks ago, while trying to help a buddy of mine decide on wheels for his 5th gen build. I contacted Dustin immediately and he got us hooked up and I can tell you, I've dealt with a lot of reps in a lot of industries, but Dustin is genuinely one of the best people I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I would not hesitate to recommend him, his company, or the product to anybody looking. Hell, if I hadn't just bought wheels last November, I would have ordered myself a set solely off of the single interaction that I had with this man, and you better believe that the next time I'm in the market for wheels, FN will be the first place I go.

Anyway, the install went great and the owner LOVES his set up!

I will get you guys a close up photo of our center cap by this afternoon. We use a very simple, clean, flush mounted center cap. Our ƒ(x) Pro wheels (and some of our other models too) are also compatible with OEM part # PTR18-35092 center caps.

Does anyone know how much these things weigh? I'm wondering how much weight I would save going from my limiteds to these and the different tires.

Also, no one with Photoshop skills?

Our ƒ(x) Pro wheels weigh 23.9 lbs each.

I believe a factory, 20" Limited wheel is approximately 35lbs (+/-) 2lbs, but I haven't been able to put one on the scale without a tire mounted.

A factory 17x7" TRD Pro wheel is approximately 27lbs. - I will get you an exact weight this afternoon for this wheel, as I can weigh one without a tire.

Probably a stupid question...but will the black TRD Pro wheels (Wheel, TRD 17 Inch Alloy (TRD Pro - Black) - TRDShop.com) be useable with 275/70 tires, as the website says the wheel is designed for the stock tire size of 265.

These wheels would be going on a 2015 Trail Edition...and from reading the 5th gen tire fitment guide, does the fact that the stock TE wheel uses 17x7.5x4.875 matter since the TRD pro wheel is 17x7x4 mm offset? Am I even worried about relevant values?

Not a stupid question at all. Yes, you can use 275/70R17 tires with 17x7" wheels. 7" wheel width will be at the lower end of the approved rim width range for 275/70R17 tires (I used BFG A/T K02 and Cooper Discover S/T Maxx for reference), but this is still a safe setup since you are within the approved rim width range. You will be somewhat limited in tire choices with 275/70R17 being a relatively uncommon tire size, but there are still some good options in this size.

Anyone know how much the OEM TRD wheels weigh in comparison to the FN ones?

Our ƒ(x) Pro 17x8" wheel is 23.9lbs, and I believe the 17x7" TRD wheel is 27lbs, but I will get you an exact figure shortly.

Thanks! Awesome looking truck BTW, anyways I can have a quick picture to see how far the duratracs recess inside the wheel well? Mine is lifted with KO2 and it sits too far in for my liking.

My situation....TRD Pro wheels came with my Black TEP out the door. While I was initially happy, I kinda want gloss black wheels yet those are tough to find (in a relatively tame look) in a 17x8. So, I might stick with the TRD Pro and go outside of the recommendation and use 285/70r/17 DuraTracs anyway along with the 1.25 spacer. ToyTec lift is going on this weekend, so need to figure out my wheel situation ASAP.

No problem. It catches on the mud flap and on the wheel well on the opposite side of the wheel.

Here are the FN Wheels ƒ(x) Pro in Matte Black with 275/70R/17 tires at about 10-12 PSI. I also have to say thanks to Dustin for the great customer service and FN Wheels for the design.

Assuming those are BFG AT KO2, was the decision to go with FN based upon price or other factors?

i.e. as the BFG KO2 in a 275/70R/17 are "happy" with the 7" wheel diameter of the TRD Wheel....

I ran Nitto TG 275/55R/20 on the limited 20x7" wheels for 20k. I wanted something I could air-down to 10-12 PSI with fully loaded vehicle without any worries. I went back and forth between the TRD and the FN for a while. I went with the FN ƒ(x) Pro because it was an inch wider (for my own piece of mind) and the offset seemed to put the wheel a bit more flush with the body without spacers.

I really liked the look of the TRD centers, after seeing the FN in person with the flat center cap and the spline drive lugs it's a nice clean look. I went with the 275's over the 285 as my partial Bilstein 6112/5160 2" Icon spring order is in limbo because the 5160 are back ordered without an ETA.

As of this past camping and oversand trip I am really happy with the setup so far. It was a beast in the finest deep silt sand and on the large sand hill climbs it was solid.
