Info on these TRD wheels

Anyone know how much the OEM TRD wheels weigh in comparison to the FN ones?

The 17x8" / 0mm offset / 6x139.7 FN Wheels FX Pro is 23.9 lbs per wheel.

The latest 17x7" / +4mm offset / 6x139.7 TRD Pro wheel that I have weighed is 25.9lbs per wheel.*

Factory 17x7.5" wheels are approximately 27+ lbs per wheel.

I don't have an accurate weight for the factory 20x7" wheel at this time, but as soon as I get an accurate weight I will post it for everyone.

*Incidentally I have weighed a handful of the OEM Toyota Genuine TRD Pro wheels and come up with different weights. I have an OEM Genuine TRD Pro wheel from the earliest production run (as soon as it was available for purchase in the U.S.), and that wheel weighed in at 24.5lbs. I weighed one from a batch I received a few months ago, and it was a hair under 27lbs, and I just received four of the wheels that weigh 25.8lbs ea. All wheels were weighed on the same scale, however the 26.9lbs wheel was not weighed on the same day as the 24.5lbs and the 25.8lbs wheel. The last four wheels that I received from Toyota (I do sell the Genuine TRD Pro wheels as well for my customers that want a Toyota factory part number) all weighed between 25.8lbs and 26.1lbs. I was surprised to see such a variance across the weights of the same wheel (all weighed outside of the box, with no extra packing material or accessories), but it might be possible that Toyota is using more than one factory to produce the wheels. The genuine Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro wheels I have here currently are all marked "Made in Thailand" and have the same production stickers. Earlier batches had different QC marks on the wheels and different countries of origin. Maybe someone who has the TRD Pro wheels can comment on what weight and markings are on their wheels.

I don't yet (unfortunately). This is still a very new wheel for us, so we don't have a complete photo gallery yet. Generally speaking you can't go wrong with bronze on black. Just about any color goes well with black.

If I'm able to get a hold of a local 4Runner in black I will try to install a set of matte bronze and take some photos. It might take me a while, but I will try to coordinate something with a friend of mine who has a black 2015 (he has our Countersteer Type X wheels in matte black on there right now).

I really want to see some pics of your matte grey wheel on a mag grey 4runner. Trying to decide between your wheels and TRD wheels. Since I'm getting 255/75R17s the wheel width is no concern. This is purely looks.

I bought Michelin 265/65R17's for my '06 Sport just a few months ago. I know the FN wheels will work with these, and I'll probably go that route. But just for the sake of argument, would the TRD Pros work with them?

I'm definitely getting larger tires the next time around - another argument for going with the FN wheels.

Thanks... they are Goodyear Wrangler Authority... Made for Wal-Mart tire. Great in mud and snow. Probably have around 30k on them.

Hi [MENTION=110036]Neauxla[/MENTION] - I have asked some of my Toyota dealership customers if they can help me out with photos of our matte gunmetal FN Wheels ƒ(x) Pro wheels on MGM 4Runners. If I can come up with some from them (or otherwise as soon as possible) I will post them for you.

In the mean time, I just received these photos from my customer (it's a Silver Streak Metallic 4Runner, but hopefully it gives you a little bit better idea of how our FN Wheels ƒ(x) Pro matte gunmetal wheels will look on your 4Runner). Please also note that the customer installed his own genuine TRD center caps, and we do not include anything with the TRD logo with our wheels nor do I refer to our wheels as "TRD" or "Toyota" in anyway - for obvious reasons and also because we strongly believe that our wheel is better for the reasons I've previously outlined, and we are proud to call it by our own name - FN Wheels ƒ(x) Pro.

Glad to hear that you are considering our wheels [MENTION=97455]swampfire[/MENTION] . To answer your question about whether or not the TRD Pro 17x7" wheels will work with 265/65R17 on your '06 Sport - the tires that I have looked up in this size require a 7.5" minimum width.

For example, the Nitto Terra Grappler G2, Dunlop Grandtrek AT20 (OEM tire on certain 4th Gen 4Runners) and the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires in 265/65R17 have approved rim width ranges of 7.5" thru 9.5", with 8.0" being the recommended rim width.

Just wanted to say, thanks to Dustin, awesome customer service wheels were here fast and the quality is superb. I put the lighter Gunmetal wheels on my silver Lexus GX470 with 285/70/17 Coopers, love the look. Thanks again I would highly recommend FN wheels. ps I couldn't help putting the TRD caps on them because they look so good.
