injector problem

i have an 87 22re,just installed a brand new engine,fired it up,and 1 and 3 injectors are not working,is there a different ground wire for them,or am i looking at a new ecu,any help is greatly appreciated.thanks,Paul

Injectors 1 and 3 share wires at some point, so it could be any number of problems, from a bad connection to a bad ECU. Check your wiring first... I spent 3 months last year trying to fix a dead injector and it came down to needing a drop of solder on the connector at the injector.

injectors or injector connector. I would be very surprised if it's the ECU.

thanks for the input,i found the problem,when toyota splices wires together,they don't solder them,they use barrell connectors,well after 21 years the wire broke,i had to untape the harness about a foot,but it is now fixed and runs perfect,again thanks for your help,Paul
