Inner tie rod washer design change?

Replacing LBJ’s as well as inner/outer tie rod assemblies using Toyota factory OEM parts.
All good until I go to install inner tie rod and notice the washer that secures the inner tie rod to the rack (the one that needs to be staked) is smaller than the original one I removed.
Smaller to the point where it cannot be staked. Given the smaller size I don’t see how it would possibly serve it’s original purpose of preventing the inner tie rod from loosening from the end of the rack.
Am I missing something here?
These are dealer supplied parts.
Has anybody run across this scenario.
Thinking I need to use the larger original one.
Thoughts?

I would be reusing the originals without hesitation, somethings not right with the OE parts supplied, advise the dealer, confirm you did order the correct part number using your VIN. Return with receipt, packaging, incorrect parts, a picture, and hope they take care of you somehow since you don't really need that part now.

Turns out this was not ordered directly from the dealer but purchased on eBay.
The listing claimed original Toyota part but upon further review of the packaging and a more detailed look at the part it appears this is a bogus/counterfeit part.
Just placed an order through Conicelli Toyota where I usually buy all my parts.
Literally the one time I broke my own rule and bought a safety part on eBay.
Take a look at the side by side pictures and you’ll see the differences in markings and design as well as the washer.
Looks like I have 2 new paperweights!!
