How do you carry your spare cv axle?

My spare rides around in the box it came in. But after a couple years back there it has started to wear out. Need to figure out a new way to get it around. Any boxes specially made to carry one around? Any home brews?

Don't know if they would fit but one of these boxes would make a cool holder.

You could take pieces of 2x4 and cut cradles to lay inside the box and hold the CVs in place.

if you are good with wood work, you can copy the box the cardboard box the CV come in and make it with wood.

I just have mine in the box it came in and keep it somewhere in my truck when wheeling.

Maybe do some Styrofoam cutout and make it look custom fitting. It's always padde . And when you need it, you know it's ready to go.

Inside of a PVC pipe with caps! Since it is weather proof it can be mounted anywhere.

Just stick it wherever. It's bulky, and putting it in a case or box makes it bulkier. I just wrapped mine in a couple plastic grocery sacks and threw it in the bottom of the plastic toolchest I carry my trail spares in.

That would definitely work, plus you'd have some space left over for recovery gear & larger tools. If I end up going that way Ill post up about the quality and fit.
