Input on really cheap rims

Hey guys so ive been wanting some new rims and well money is tight right now and i cant find any used of wat i really want and well i stumbled upon a set of KMC Enduro Chrome 16x10 rims for cheap and was hoping to get some input.

Do u guys think i should get them or hold off on finding something that might look better on the 4runner?

Also i know itll be a pain but if i do purchase these i will be plasti-dipping or painting them black. Im not too sure if i like them but i figured id ask if anyone happened to have a pic of these rims on their rig also.

I've never seen them on a 3rd gen personally and I wouldn't say I'm the biggest fan, but that doesn't mean I'm going to tell you to pass on them. If you can get them for a good deal, I say go for it. They're a simple enough design and if you paint them a darker color, they're just going to blend in.
 
When I read chrome I was thinking they would be god awful, but they really aren't that bad. Painted a graphite or black they would probably look better.
 
I think they are a pretty nice looking wheel.
The 10" width probably will cause some rubbing issues.
 
You're going to have to run some monster wide tires for them to look right. Not a bad looking wheel but at 10" wide you'll need some fat rubber.
 
Ya, my plan is to run 315/75/16 MTs which arent the widest tire but i figure they should be wide enough...

Hepar: i know wat u mean ive seen them in matte black (other factory color they come in) and they look better and so im hoping once i paint them they will look better on the 4runner since its such a good deal i prob should jump on them.
 
You will have rubbing issues with 315's even with a body lift due to the wheel width. You will have to tub the firewall and have a 1" BL most likely. I say pass unless the set is $150 then just buy em and re-sell them

Thats funny u say that bc the ones i am looking at are a simulated beadlock so they have the overall look tho its not as intense as it could be....

No way u guessed the price, so ya i have a chance to pick them up about 15 min away from me for the set at a price of $150 though the guy said there is a small chip on one rim (chrome is flaking off). I figured i dont really mind since im gonna re-paint anyways...

I thought you were getting 20's so you could run those Nitto Trail Grapplers I had for sale on ih8mud, lol.

Those things will never sell...even for $50 each.

If they were $50 each and that was local or i didnt have to pay shipping id buy those bc to me it wouldnt be too bad since i could have two sets of tires and rims, most of the guys with Fords and Chevys and wat not all have 33-60" Tires on 17-24" Rims

The problem is I only have 2 so whoever got them would have to buy 2 more new tires to match. Then there would be a slight difference in tread size and if you're running 20's it's mostly for looks IMO. I'm not too sure those guys running 20's would be too keen on that idea.

I'd definitely get those rims for $150
