insight on suspension please wise ones

I've searched but looking for people to tell me yes or no/thoughts. Long story short I'm moving from Mass to North Carolina. I bought myself some rancho rs9000xl series shocks back before I was wise enough to research. So question one is can I use these with stock springs. The shock body is 14" collapsed not including eyelets. Fully extended is 27" not including eyelets. Can I use them with factory coils? Is there an inexpensive way to keep them if they are too long. I will be adding one of the two air bag kits for our trucks for the trip and future.
Question two. I got the shock stud to eye adapter kit from pro comp part number 690001... and those studs look to be about 1/2" to 5/8".. is that right? Thank you anyone that helps. Just trying to get moved and start a new life with my lady.

I don't know what the longest shock for the stock mounts is, it will fit but I can't tell you if there will be room at full compression. The rear coils and shocks are independent of each other so no issues there. I don't know what the Procomp adapter size is, but I'm sure whatever stud size is will fit fine and should come with all the right hardware. If you are putting in the high load air bags, then that will help your compression issues if you have them, since they will limit the up travel of the axle.

If you do happen to bottom out in the back a lot and the shocks are too long, they will get hurt but it depends on how often and hard a strike. You can always get extended bump stops too off of some junked vehicles (not sure which bump stops work) to prevent the shock acting as a bump stop. If you don't go offroading much, or more specifically don't bottom out or flex your suspension, then the shocks should be fine since you won't be bottoming them out in everyday driving.

Hey I appreciate that response a lot. Everything you said makes sense. I'm just nervous about wasted money on the shocks and hardware. I feel like if they are two big they'd be a ***** to sell.
