Installing 885 w/5100 without bumper

Was wondering if it is safe to do. Concerned if it will take the lift over the 3" lift mark due to stress on the cv joints. I know it will be a stiffer ride on suspention, I just have the time to install before the bumper arrives.

Edit: your waiting for a bumper? You will be fine. I've been running 885's and a spacer for almost a year and a half with no issues besides re-clamping the cv boots, which is common.

V-6, yes , I know still waiting on SW bumper. I just have the time to do projects during the winter. Just got back from a mini vaca with the kids. Matter of fact around your parts. Upper and lower Tahoe with a reno and MT. Rose area.


I didn't want to over strech the cv joints to far, don't think without the bumper it will rise any heigher than 3" as I already have with spacer.

Waiting to get to the bumper install and can put up a build thread as soon as I can figure out how to work the picture section. Thanks for the info.
