I was mercilessly sideswiped driving home from work last week. I got a call from the guy's insurance today and they're assuming liability!

Below are photos of the damage--luckily not too bad. I'm going to get some estimates tomorrow. Place your estimate below--winner gets a 'like' because I'm spending all the insurance money :usa2:

*The pictures don't show it but he hit my rear wheel pretty hard so I'll probably get an alignment and a new wheel out of the deal so factor that in to your estimate

My plan: It looks like the scuffs and scratches will buff out with some rubbing compound. I'm going to remove the rest of the mud flap bits on the drivers side and then take the passenger side mud flap off too. Replace the mirror then pocket the rest of the insurance money and put it in my "new car savings" account

I have rear mud flaps for those SR5 flares.

Haha sweet! Good luck with the repair. I bet you could find a used white mirror online, like on eBay, from a 4Runner being parted.

Not a surprise, once you're around 70%of the value of the truck... she gone. Buy it back and proceed with your plans.

Got to this thread too late to guess...but I was going to say totaled..No way any decent damage to our 3rds won't total them..book value is just low enough that the repairs put us right there.. It's ashamed, but as was noted above, buy it back and have at it!
