I looked at our headers when i was swapping out the Y-pipe - they will have to be cut/welded on just like the 2005-2009. They were mistaken when they though the 03-04 would be able to have a bolted flange.

For those of you who haven't seen it - here's what the DYNO looks like for the 05-09 with the DT headers. This is not tuned but simply headers welded on.

Although the 05-09 have the VVTI which will benefit them a little more, I expect quite similar results for us 03-04 guys, from design alone.

If we could get Bully Dog or someone to start supporting our ECU it would certainly help smooth everything else out as well!

Nice graph, thanks for the visual. As far as tuning, you aren't going to be able to mess with that ECU. Unlike a GM PCM, these ECUs aren't easy to mess with.

Anyone that has done this, can you tell me how hard it was to get those bolts out? I started getting codes today for my exhaust. It's on sad shape. I'm thinking if I could manage to change it out myself it would help me save a ton. I still need my whole exhaust completely redone.

Nice graph, thanks for the visual. As far as tuning, you aren't going to be able to mess with that ECU. Unlike a GM PCM, these ECUs aren't easy to mess with.

You could always wire up a piggy back.

I talked to a few vendors at SEMA. It seems that there was 1 who was potentially looking into it, but didnt have anything in particular just yet.

Bully Dog makes an ECU programmer for the V6 i think, but no idea how good it is..... i dont know of any for v8

Doug Thorley is making the first batch of 12 and they will be ready to ship by DEC 28th (approx)

Shorties - they weld just to the OEM cats
The Tundra design has issues because of the lack of room in the engine bay, as well as the steering in the way

yes - they weld on to the Cats just like the 05-09

The design of the 4runner exhaust is such that the cats are right off the headers. Because Doug Thorley is going to be doing CARB approval, they will not be replacing the Cats / adding flanges.

I would like to be added to the list if you still have room. I was also wondering if anyone knew of any good shops in the Boston area. Or how hard this might be to do it your self. It looks like a straight forward install minus the the room.
