Cant wait to hear your input on their installation, I'll probably be using them too. I read earlier posts, so it appears you're providing the new studs and nuts, did they ask you to do that? And are you also changing the cats and/ or y pipe?

Just dropped it off this morning and got a loaner car. Only parts I provided are the headers and the studs and nuts, everything else will be reused.

Just an update. I got a call from high tech and they had to revise the initial $1k estimate to $3k! I know the job takes a lot of work but that is ludicrous. Guess I'll keep looking for a shop to do the install.

Seriously... I was pissed because they quoted 1k over the phone. I asked them if they did this type of work before and they said yes so I didn't expect any major change in the estimate. I hope someone in the DMV can refer me to another shop that won't charge an arm and a leg.

Finally looks like I've found a decent shop who can do my install in the Boston area.... Paul's Custom Exhaust in Taunton.... Paul's Custom Exhaust Good long history in the area of similar work (31 years) and great guys that seem to really know their business... Called and talked it over with Paul and could immediately tell that he knew the manifold/cat configuration right off the top.... Very different from most of the shops I called.... Swung by yesterday to check out the shop and meet the guys.... Anyhoo am scheduled to take my truck in at the beginning of next month.... Will let everyone know how it works out....:clap2:

You can try Maryland Muffler. They have done the DT header on a v8 4runner at least once. Don't remember who that was but it's on one of the thread here. I have never used them myself but I hear good things.

I have to admit I thought they were selling themselves short on the initial estimate but that is major BS to call and revise that much higher! My buddy in Fredericksburg said he would do it for $1500 if you run out of options.

The install is nearly finished. Because I used to work with him he allowed me to do the removal myself using his lift. I forgot to order new exhaust hanger rods so it set us back a few days. Having done it once I now understand the process and have the tools required. It isn't a fun job by any means lol. I'm supposed to pick up my truck on Friday.

Have you tried GT Peace? The main tech from High Tech (Scott) left there a few weeks ago and went to GT Peace. They are on the same street

Well I can in fact confirm that these fit on a 05 GX470 I recieved the headers from Jason Burtman, I also installed Flowmaster Highflow Cats. The install is time consuming and its a tight space, the air injection tubes on the 05 and later is in the way of the upper flange bolts. If I were to do it again I would get the 03-04 headers and use the air injection bypass kit. depending on your state you my not be able to do this. I only have abut 100 miles on it yet so far 1.5 MPG increase some low end gain huge top end gain. I also have a Cat back exhaust and a CAI I know the stock design is cold air but the smooth flowing tube on the aftermarket intake increased the low end.

Which cats did you use and did you cut the top of them before they were welded? Also, did you cut the flanges off of the old manifolds and reuse them?
