I normally do my own work but unfortunately I haven't welded in over 20 yrs and I don't want to use the headers as practice-hence the need for an installer.

I'm using the Magnaflow pipe. I want to maintain the stock flange locations in case I need to change an exhaust part in the future without having to hack things apart.

Any recommendation for an installer in the DC Maryland Virginia area. studs and bolts should be here tomm so I believe I'm ready!

You can get the URD universal sim and use that.

Since when do exhaust related issues trigger ABS codes. They should be completely segregated.

They have been out of the plug for 6 months or more because their vendor hasn't sent them any.
Personally I'd be finding a new vendor by now...

Thanks to [MENTION=101553]t-man[/MENTION] and Burtman Industries for all the info and pricing onthese headers.

I just got mine installed, and finally the truck is quiet again, no more ticking. V8 in full effect again.

Two thumbs up - check my build for more info.

Drives me nuts! Can't stand to hear it! I would've done it already with oem but theres a lot of talk it will happen again in a very short which has caused me not to pull the trigger.

My other thread didn't get any footing. Does the Doug thorley headers for the 1st gen tundra which we share engines with fit our cars? Or would mounting/pipe routing be different to the point where it won't fit? Urd carries the tundra one for like 500 something

The DT tundra header (which won't fit the 4Runner) is made of steel, not stainless, and the 4runner header is made of stainless or it would crack if it wasn't. These has a lifetime warranty! And remember, Toyota charges $1,500 for their stock headers that will just crack AGAIN in 100k miles.

I dropped my 05 off with my cousin ( mechanic by trade ) recently, he took it on as a side job. Yes I chickened out doing it myself but I was going to before i paid the 1500-1800 in labor alone for just the R&R of the headers.

So now I wait...

Are yall riding around with a bunch of Christmas Lights on your dashboard? Where and what did you use to rid the codes thrown from the lack of catalytic converters? URD? I want these installed!
