hi all! have been lurking on these forums for some years now and finally made a profile. (took long enough!). this thread is the one ive been watching very closely as i will probably be doing this mod soon. with that said, i read on some of the replies that some would sell their fixtures for this job? i would make them myself, but considering when i may take this on, i may not be able to have my truck down for too long and it would be a huge help. or if someone had their old manifolds (doubt it). but really anything that would help speed the job along. thanks guys! looking forward to being an active member on here!

low profile bolt for the steering shaft?

Not sure, but I'd PM that member that posted the pic. And that's only needed if your are lifted.

I have 2 left for 05-09! Remember, when they go out of stock again, it's 5+ weeks for more.

There are 3 left for 03-04. LInks above in my previous post.

I already sold my jigs and jig headers to...jeep winch maybe? They aren't too hard to make. Wood was just fine for alignment.

Only if body lifted Jason meant to say. Pull the old bolt out, take it into the hardware store, get a button head capscrew the same thread pitch/length. M8 by like 20-30mm long maybe? Don't quote me.

Oh, it's ok with suspension lift only then? Wasn't 100%, that's good to know if that bolt only needs swapped for body lifted trucks.

If stock height or only suspension lifted then no bolt swap needs to be made.

Body lifted 1" or more there's a clearance issue caused by the change in angle of the steering shaft from raising the body off the frame.

Yessir 1" body lift and DT headers. I'd post up a bolt size in here but I can't find the dimensions I got either. I might have just had one that fit and ran with it. I know even with a button head capscrew I had to grind a little edge off of the bolt for no issues and I'm sure in some situations it still hits, bouncing the body down into it, as evidenced by the witness marks. The headers were too strong to dimple in once installed.

Future me plans to own a set of these one day. Is there any thread or link to a guide with instructions for install on 05+. I understand this is a more intricate project them some others on our trucks so any guide I can save away in my file of things to do would be nice for me and probably others. More pictures the better.

The DT install instructions are actually pretty solid. The only new tools you might have to aquire are the 12 point bits to remove the old studs (new studs recommended). Pulling the motor mount bolt to tilt the engine is not that big of a deal as people make it. Easy install by a DIY'er in a weekend at home if you have them prewelded with cats and/or flanges on a jig.

Thanks, sounds pretty straight forward, I did headers on my last 2 cars (88 monte ss and then 96 impala ss) and mostly from broken bolts they became monumental PITA's. but I have some experience to learn from on that. The welding part might require some assistance though.

Can't wait to get these. Just bought my first 4Runner and its leaking baddddd. Sounds like a lawnmower under acceleration. I need to get the timing belt done, and then this is #2 on the list.
