Interior detail products

Hello all:

I am wondering what people would recommend for the upper dash so that it retains it Matte appearance without getting shiny? I'd prefer something with some UV protectant.

Also, what products work well on the softex seats?

Thanks, Steve.

Mothers VLR seams to work well on the vinyl (softex) areas I have (doors and center console). It's not greasy and smells nice.

Another vote for Aerospace 303, use it on everything except the carpet and glass! Does great on dash, seats, door & interior panels, even when I want to make the Husky Mats look nice again. I've had consistent luck ordering it at O'Reilly's Auto Parts, and the occasional NAPA stocks it (although I think they call it 303 Protectant). Also available on Amazon

^^

Read that Softex is a thermoplastic polyurethane, which is used on lots of auto interiors apparently, so any of those products should be fine really.

I also use the 303 Aerospace (marine/recreation labeled). They also introduced an automotive line in a different colored bottles but from what I gather, its the same product formula inside. The marine/recreation labeled stuff is cheaper with more vendor options on Amazon.

303 also does a wonder on tires. I love that dark clean rubber look that is in no way slimy. When I picked up my 4R the tires were dripping in Armor all and as soon as I pulled in the driveway it had slung all over the sides. Disgusting stuff for sure.

I always get it from Amazon as local auto parts places here have no clue what good stuff is.

It has occurred to me that I have never cleaned the interior of my truck when the dog ate a Pringle he found under the seat.

The last time I ate Pringles was when I drove down to Alabama and back in 2013.

Last week, after a year of neglecting my interior, I decide to clean it up. I tried the armor all cleaning wipes and am very pleased. They are not greasy and make the job go very quickly!
