Do these liners stop fluid leaking out, or are there gaps between panels? I'd love to get the larger version for deer season!

I don't know, maybe that would be a cluster-f**k. I miss my Tacoma sometimes.

The liners are actually two pieces that overlap and Velcro together. I wouldn't count on it to keep liquids from seeping between the pieces. Also any liquids would probably slosh towards the tailgate under acceleration and get under that way.
