Interior fan loud after reinstall

A few weeks ago, i had to drop the interior fan in the passenger area to remove some debris. After reinstalling it, it is now louder than normal. It doesn't sound like leaves are stuck in there but it's more mechanical.. did I miss something during the reinstall?

there's nothing mechanical to removing and reinstalling the blower fan. it's three bolts and a harness clipped into it.

I assume you removed it to find debris because it was already loud? the bearings have been known to go on those. if it's a grinding or whirring noise it's likely the bearing and the unit needs to be replaced

Check and make sure that it's clear of obstructions and that there are no wires loose or hanging near the fan, otherwise sounds like the bearing is shot

When my bearing started whining I sprayed some T-9 on it and it hasn't whined since. Been years. There's a write-up on here somewhere but it's pretty simple.
